5 Best Products to Pamper Yourself This Holiday Season

If you've been keeping up with my Instagram lately, I've been on a new journey of self-care. We just don't make enough time to sit down and take some time for ourselves. Can anyone else relate?

During the last six weeks, I've been spending more time meditating, doing my new skincare routine, and changing the way I look at my downtime. I don't know about you, but I used to feel guilty for taking time for just me. I recently saw a video where they said, "Instead of punishing yourself for wanting to rest, maybe you should ask yourself WHY you need the rest." That really got me thinking... There's a reason we end up crashing and feeling exhausted. It's because we just don't take enough time during the week to slow it down. Instead, we cram everything we can into the week, and by the time the weekend comes, we're spent.

Do you set aside time for self-care?

  • Yes

  • No

So self-care is the anthem of this next chapter for me and I'm bringing it to the salon as well! If you haven't already, make sure you book an appointment before the holidays. I promise you'll leave feeling refreshed and beautiful. There's just something about going to the salon that gives you a pep in your step and a smile on your face.

With all that being said, I wanted to share with you some great new products I've been loving from a brand called /kit•sch/. Most of you know I've gone a little more crunchy over the last year and a half (lol) and I love sharing when I find clean, sustainable products. So I wanted to share my top 10 new favorite products. And to make it even sweeter, /kit•sch/ has given me a 15% off code just for you guys, and to top it off, you can get free shipping on orders of $35 or more! Yesssss.

So without further adieu, here are my top 10 new favs to pamper yourself with!

#1 Scalp Exfoliator

Of course, I had to start with a hair-related item. 😂 I've added this to the list because

I've learned over the years of doing hair that most people are not giving their scalp a good enough massage. Often I find that everyone is mostly concerned with the hair and really forgets the scalp altogether.

If I haven't already given you the speech in the salon... Your scalp health is just as important if not more so than the hair. Your hair grows from the scalp outward. And it's crucial to have a happy, healthy scalp. Think of it just like the skin on your face. You work hard to make sure you remove impurities and keep your pores from getting clogged. And you probably make time to exfoliate your face.

The same goes for your scalp! Your scalp can get a buildup from oil, dead skin, and products. And if you're not regularly giving your scalp a good massage, it's probably not clean.

And when I say massage, I don't mean scratching it. Scratching can actually lead to micro tears in the skin and that can lead to infections. Whatever is underneath your nails when you scratch, you're leaving it on the scalp.

So massage means to use this took to use the prongs to actually make the scalp move around and then GENTLY exfoliate to increase circulation. No scrubbing! And this tool is easy to use. It's got a nice little handle and it's super easy to keep clean. Just remember to wash it with a gentle cleanser. Nothing with harsh chemicals.

Grab one here and don't forget the 15% off code TORIRUTLEDGE15.

#2 Exfoliating Gloves

I don't know if you're seeing the trend here... but I LOVE a good exfoliating glove. First off this thing is eco-friendly because it's reusable and it looks soooo cute! Exfoliating mitts are super convenient because you can use them while in the shower to massage & detoxify the skin, and it helps to improve circulation and stimulate skin cell renewal.

I've had one for a couple of months now and I really don't know how I lived without it. I just lather it up with some soap and you can exfoliate the entire body in a matter of minutes. Give it a try, I KNOW you're gonna love this. Grab it here and don't forget to use my code: TORIRUTLEDGE15

#3 Christmas Body Wash Set

Surely I can't be the only one who loves a good holiday scent. Grab yourself this cute little sampler set before they're gone. You get one of each scent: Sugar Exfoliating Body Scrub Bar, Pumpkin Spice Latte, Candy Cane Ice Cream, Butterscotch Brulée, Sugar & Spice, and Hot Cocoa.

These body bars give you a really nice indulgent lather but with limited-time holiday scents. My fav would have to be either Candy Cane Ice Cream or Hot Cocoa. Grab yours here.

#4 Rose Quartz Facial Roller

Has anyone else jumped onto the facial roller trend? I just started doing this a couple of months ago and I have to say I'm a big fan. The natural stones stay cold so they are great for reducing puffiness and inflammation while reducing fine lines and increasing circulation. But I also love to use mine to help with my sinuses and drainage, especially this time of year. If you need a tutorial, there are a ton on youtube on how to properly use these types of tools.

And if all else fails, I think it actually causes me to slow down a little bit and enjoy the facial massage. These little guys are also available in Jade and Dalmation Jasper as well. Grab a couple here!

#5 Facial Dry Brush

Dry brushing isn't an entirely new phenomenon but it is to many. It's intended for use on dry skin after cleansing. The soft bristles are the ideal density to thoroughly exfoliate while still being gentle on your skin. It's gentle enough to feel like a day at the spa but I personally have noticed a difference in texture after using this for a few months. There are also videos out there to show you how to use it but it's pretty self-explanatory. Just don't drag the skin down, always brush up and out. It's a great way to get rid of dead skin cells and keep your face looking fresh. Just remember to use your toner, serum, and moisturizers afterward! And it only takes about a minute to do this. Get yours here and use code TORIRUTLEDGE15 to save 15%!

I hope that you can find time to do a little self-care this holiday season. It really is easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle, but a little downtime can be so rewarding. Here's to a great start to the holiday season! 🦃
